Simulation
Calculation of physical processes of different welding methods
The simulation group at ISF is working on the research and modelling of different welding processes. Two different goals are pursued: On the one hand, to gather extensive physical understanding of each welding process and, on the other hand, to apply this knowledge with mathematical-numerical methods for the programming of user-friendly simulation software which allows it to calculate results in few minutes. These tools allow the engineer to calculate weld geometries, heat distribution and temperature curves without any time-consuming training courses and to use this information afterwards in other simulation tools as input parameters.
Topics
